Privacy Policy

1. Overview

MuscleDial is a muscle-training tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch, developed by German Amaya ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app handles and what it does not.

2. Information MuscleDial handles

The app records only what it needs to draw the muscle map:

• Training days. For each day, the set of muscle groups you marked as trained. Nothing else about the session — no sets, no repetitions, no weights, no exercise names, no duration.
• Your preferences. How often you train, which sets the span the map reads, and whether you have completed the introductory screens.
• Trial start date. The moment you first opened the app, kept so the seven-day free period can be measured. It is stored in the device keychain and in your iCloud account.

This information never leaves your devices and your own iCloud storage. We do not see it.

3. iCloud synchronization

When you are signed in to iCloud and iCloud is enabled for MuscleDial, the app stores your training history in iCloud key-value storage, inside your private Apple account. This provides backup and keeps your devices in agreement.

That storage is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy. It counts toward your own iCloud quota, not ours, and we have no ability to read, query, or export it. If you sign out of iCloud or disable it for MuscleDial in your device settings, the app continues to work using local storage only.

4. iPhone and Apple Watch

When both devices are present, MuscleDial exchanges your training days directly between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's device-to-device connectivity. This transfer happens between your own devices and does not pass through any server of ours.

5. Purchases

MuscleDial offers a one-time purchase that removes the seven-day limit. The transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details, card number, or billing address. The app asks Apple whether a valid purchase exists for the signed-in Apple Account and stores nothing else about it.

6. What MuscleDial does not do

• No accounts, sign-ups, email addresses, or passwords.
• No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or usage tracking of any kind.
• No advertising, no ad identifiers, no third-party advertising or marketing SDKs.
• No sale, rental, or sharing of information with data brokers.
• No access to Apple Health, HealthKit, or any health record. MuscleDial does not read from or write to the Health app.
• No access to your location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
• No profiling, scoring, or automated decision-making about you.

7. When information is shared

We do not share your information, because we do not have it. The only parties involved are Apple — as the provider of iCloud, the App Store, and the operating systems — and you.

If a valid legal request were ever made to us, we would have nothing to produce: there is no database, no backup, and no log on our side.

8. Retention, deletion, and your choices

Training history

Your history remains on your devices and in your iCloud storage for as long as you keep it. Nothing expires on its own, and we hold no copy of it.

Deleting everything

Settings contains a Delete all data option. It erases every logged day from that iPhone, from your paired Apple Watch, and from your iCloud storage. The action cannot be undone.

Deleting the app

Removing MuscleDial deletes its local data on that device. It does not by itself erase what is held in your iCloud account — use Delete all data first if that is what you intend. The trial start date is kept separately, in the device keychain and in your iCloud account, so that reinstalling does not restart the free period.

iCloud controls

You can turn iCloud off for MuscleDial at any time in your device settings, under your Apple Account. The app keeps working locally.

Support correspondence

If you write to us by email, we hold that message and our reply for as long as needed to help you. You may ask us to delete it.

9. Your privacy rights

Laws such as the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal information, and to object to its processing.

In MuscleDial these rights are satisfied directly by the app rather than by a request to us: your data is already in your hands, editable at any time, and deletable in a single action. We hold no copy to disclose, correct, or erase. Where email correspondence is involved, write to us and we will act on your request.

10. Security

Information stored on your device is protected by the device's own encryption and passcode. Information synchronized through iCloud is protected by Apple's security measures and your Apple Account credentials. Because nothing is transmitted to us, there is no server of ours to breach.

11. Children's privacy

MuscleDial is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Since the app collects no information at all, there is nothing for us to remove; a parent or guardian can delete the app and its data from the device at any time.

12. International processing

Your information stays on your devices and in Apple's iCloud infrastructure. Where that infrastructure is located, and how Apple transfers data between regions, is governed by Apple's own policies. We do not transfer your information anywhere, because we never receive it.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will also be described in the app's release notes.
